Awareness Bracelets with Donation

Big Bead Jewelry has launched a line of awareness bracelets handmade by young adults with developmental disabilities. The bracelets represent a variety of conditions based on the color of the beads. There is no one definitive source for awareness colors, so we have researched the awareness colors in the hopes that we got it right - if not, please let us know. Or if there is a condition with an awareness color that we don't offer, please contact us and we'll be happy to create a new awareness bracelet for an illness or condition.

Your purchase of each awareness bracelet will result in a $2 donation to the American Cancer Society. Even though our bracelets represent some conditions that don't have anything to do with cancer, we chose one charity for donations so that our contribution can make a difference. In 2012, we donated $295 to the American Cancer Society from awareness bracelet sales. If you want to contribute directly to the American Cancer Society, visit cancer.org or visit our Events page to donate through our breast cancer walk team. We will continue charitable donations to the American Cancer Society for 2013.

Beaded awareness bracelets are handmade and strung on stretch cord. The larger beads are clear faceted glass beads, interspersed with small beads representing the awareness color for the condition. Awareness bracelets include a Hope ribbon charm, available in either a silver or gold finish. The awareness bracelets fit loosely on a wrist measuring 6 inches around.
